The team at Glebe Contractors are based in Newent and have spent the last 40 years providing services that work for our clients and for the natural environment. Our equipment is tested and maintained to PUWER (Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment 1998). TREE CARE SERVICES
We are experienced at carrying out all types of tree work from light pruning to sectional take down on large diseased trees. We work on single trees through to large parks, woodlands and site clearance. Examples of the arboriculture work we regularly carry out includes: pollarding, coppicing, dead wooding, dismantling, crown lifting and thinning, halo thinning, tree felling, tree protection and conservation, wood chipping and emergency tree surgery. We work closely with our clients to achieve the end result they require. We aim to recycle as much of our tree surgery waste as possible.
UTILITY ABORICULTURE
Glebe also undertakes tree clearance and vegetation management around powerlines. Our specialist Utility Arboriculture trained teams are highly experienced and competent in working in trees near the lines. We carry out resilience cutting utilizing our good range of modern machinery including timber grab, mulchers, tree shears, large wood chippers and MEWPs. We have our own NPTC UA5 trained staff able to carry out tree surveying and consenting.
SITE CLEARANCE
We carry out site clearance for developers, construction companies, industrial, commercial and private customers.
Glebe advise and implement all aspects of tree and vegetation clearance works, from straight forward tree felling to large-scale tree clearance using specialist equipment such as forestry winches, mulchers, timber cranes and excavator tree shears. Our tree shears have proved indispensable for situations such as removing trees affected with Ash Dieback as they eliminate the risk of climbing potentially decayed or hazardous trees.
TREE PLANTING AND STUMP GRINDING

At Glebe Contractors we always aim to provide eco-friendly solutions and many of the trees we remove are turned into firewood and woodchip mulch which is available to buy.
